Miruna Short Film Review: This Love-At-First-Sniff Romance On Regal Talkies Is Too Shady, EVEN For The Internet
The first new film to drop on CV Kumar’s new pay-per-view app Regal Talkies (for a price of Rs 20) seems to have been retrieved from the recycle bin of a computer that was swallowed by a blue whale a decade after it was dumped as e-waste. It’s amateurish and absurd to the point where one doubts if it was ever meant for public eyes…or given the film’s plot, public noses. It begins on a beach (the DI work on the film is such that you need sunglasses) Jeeva jogs to every morning to accidently-on-purpose run into a girl he spotted months ago (how does he already have her picture though?). But he’s not shallow like all our other heroes. No, it’s not about how beautiful this girl is (which she is). It’s just that he’s a smeller. One whiff of her scent carried by the already fragrant smell of the ECR winds and you have a love story that takes your breath away.
